I am by no means a diehard baseball fan, but I really do love the Phillies. As I mentioned in my Opening Day 2009 article, in the bottom of the seventh, the Phils were down 10-3. I was certain that Philadelphia would not be able to pull out the win, so I went back to relaxing and watching Rocky V. I had the TV volume low, but I noticed quite a bit of action out of my peripheral vision, and decided to see what was up. Out of nowhere, the score was now 10-7.
Needless to say, that caught my attention. The Phils would then rally to a 12-10 lead going into the 9th inning. With Brad Lidge on the mound, victory stood only three outs away. Atlanta's Matt Diaz would homer off of Lidge to close the gap, but Lidge would send the next two back to the dugout to win the game.
After the exhilarating finish, I realized that it would have been a lot of fun to document the end of the game, step-by-step. With that goal in mind, I finally caved in and joined Twitter. The way I see it, on Twitter, I'm able to cover my reactions as they happen and then here on my website, I can later document it all in greater detail. I have a feeling it'll end up begin a pretty useful addition to the page, so we'll see how it works.
